Breakfast
We have a choice of wholegrain cereal
with milk:
- Weetaflakes
- Weetabix
- Cheerios
- Crunchy bran
- Oat granola
We have fruit juice to drink (one of our 5 a day).
Sometimes we have porridge and occasionally muffins or toast.
Lunch
Our bread is home made by ourselves (often with the help of the children), and is usually granary or wholemeal.
We have a variety of meals such as:
- Sandwiches
- Home made soup
- Home made pizza with a variety of toppings
- Home made cheese and tomato tarts
- Beans on toast
- Boiled egg and soldiers
- Cheese on toast
Followed by a piece of fruit and a pudding such as fromage frais or yogurt.
Evening Meal
- Macaroni cheese
- Shepherd's pie
- Tuna bake with potato crisp topping
- Chicken stir fry
- Spaghetti bolognese
- Stew
- Fish fingers, chips and peas
- Baked potatoes with filling and vegetables
- Vegetable casserole
- Macaroni broccoli cheese
- Corn and tuna bake
- Children's tandoori chicken
- Fruity chicken casserole
- Chilli Con Carne (mild)
Followed by a pudding such as:
- Home made rice pudding
- Jelly and ice cream
- Home made flap jack
- Peach slices
- Home made gingerbread men
Snacks and Drinks
We have a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon. This will be fruit or carrot sticks and cream cheese, breadsticks, ham etc. We encourage our children to look after their teeth by drinking milk or water throughout the day.
